Complaints & Returns

RETURNS and EXCHANGES

When purchasing I'M Nordic Eco Cosmetics products, a 14-day right of withdrawal always applies in accordance with current consumer protection legislation. This means that you have the right to cancel your purchase without reason within 14 days of receiving the ordered product(s). In order to be able to return a product/products, it is assumed that the product/products come back to us unused and in original condition, with all labels remaining and in the original packaging. The buyer is responsible for the product(s) until we have received the return delivery. Gift cards cannot be returned.

For exchanges and returns:

1.Pack the products to be returned, preferably in the same package they came in.

2. Contact us on e-mail hello@imnordiceco.com

3. Return the package using any delivery service of your choice (the customer is responsible for the return costs) to the address below. Keep the receipt.

When you have returned your products, the amount will be refunded within 14 days to your  account number you notified us about, excluding shipping costs. Please note that the buyer himself is responsible for the return costs and pays these in connection with the package being returned to us. The package can also be left directly to us (address below). If you wish to exchange the item for another product, you can notify us by e-mail. Then no new delivery fee will be added and any price difference will be refunded to your account.

If the delivery is faulty or you receive a faulty product, you are obliged to notify us within 14 days by sending an e-mail to hello@imnordiceco.com. After we receive your notification that something has gone wrong, we investigate and find a solution to the problem together.

Deliveries & Shipping Costs

Your I'M Nordic Eco Cosmetics products are delivered by Posten or matkahuolto within 3-5 working days within Finland, EU 3-7 days and to other countries within 10-15 days. Shipments are picked up at the nearest post office. If you have a package that has been delivered but not collected from Posten/Matkahuolto yet, you will always receive a reminder. If you do not pick up the package at all, a sum of €20 will be charged and the products will be returned to us.

Inventory balance

The product page shows the stock balance for each product. We reserve the right for incorrect information about stock balance.

We apply partial deliveries, in this case we are always in contact with the customer first.

If the product is out of stock and you want to know when more will arrive, you can contact us via the contact form.

Can I buy directly from you in store?

Absolutely, you can find more about our store's opening hours under the tab"besök oss". You can also come out and meet us at various events around the Nordics, you can find more about which events we have booked under the tab "events". You can also contact us if you wish to book an event with us.

Pick-up at checkout, how do I proceed?

Nice that you chose the pick-up delivery method, you can let us know when you want to pick up your order, and we can leave it outside in our pick-up mailbox then you have the flexibility to pick up your order when it suits you best, you can find the mailbox next to our door at the back of the house. Remember to always be in contact with us before you want to pick up your order.

How long do your products last?

On each product you will find a "best before" date, the date that has been stamped tells you how long the product lasts. It can vary from 1-2 years from the production date. This date applies to an unopened product!

There is also an open-can symbol that indicates the number of months the product will stay fresh after you open it. For almost all of our products, 6 months apply.

What you can do to ensure shelf life in the best possible way is to store the product in a dark and cool place and to make sure to tighten the jar/lid tightly to avoid the product coming into contact with oxygen.

However, remember that common sense also applies here, the product does not expire and become bad on a set date, the best thing you can do is to smell and feel the product to rule out whether it can be used.

What perfume/fragrance do you use?

We scent our products with only natural 100% organically certified essential oils. We also have some products that only contain the oils/waxes' own natural scents.

Can I use your products when I am pregnant and breastfeeding?

It is absolutely fine to use all our products even if you are pregnant and/or breastfeeding.

Our products contain no hormone-disrupting substances and no synthetic fragrances. All raw materials used can thus be broken down by the body and nature in a natural way.

There is very weak evidence that e.g. arnica, lavender and tea tree could have alleged hormone-disrupting effects, but the choice is yours if you want to avoid them, we also offer fragrance-free products.

Why don't you have creams?

Unfortunately, a cream contains a lot other than moisture and fat, i.e. some form of preservative that we see has a negative impact on our skin's microflora. With our products, we want to support and balance the microflora and not risk destroying it, which is why we have opted out of creams.

Are your products tested on animals?

Thanks for caring. We do not test any products on animals and since 2013 animal testing has been prohibited within the EU.

Are your products vegan?

We have chosen not to use animal raw materials other than those that come from beekeeping in our products. That is, beeswax and honey are raw materials we accept in our skin care. We exclude all other forms of non-vegan ingredients.

The beeswax we use in our products comes from a local beekeeper and we know for sure that they take care of their bees and crops so no animals are harmed.

Some of our products contain beeswax, but you will also find completely vegan products from us. 

On all product pages, it is printed whether the product is vegan-friendly. 

Are your products certified?

I'M Nordic Eco Cosmetics products are not certified, but all raw materials are, according to various eco certifications. So even if we are not, the raw materials are.

How to use Natural/Shea aluminum-free deodorant

You take a dab with clean fingers or a spatula and rub into the armpits. Wait until it is absorbed into the skin before getting dressed. When you have shaved, it is recommended that you wait an hour before use. If you previously used an antiperspirant and switch to an aluminum-free deodorant, you may initially feel that you sweat more, because the pores are not clogged with Natural/Shea Deo.


2. I get eczema from regular deodorants, can I use Natural/Shea Deo?


Since Natural/Shea Deo is an aluminum free deodorant that does not contain other chemicals like many of the commercial deodorants in stores, we definitely think it is worth trying them. We usually recommend those with sensitive skin to first try the deodorant without added essential oil, Natural Deo-Pure.


3. Will there be stains on the clothes? 


Allow the deodorant to absorb into the skin for a little while before you get dressed, and you will avoid possible grease stains on your clothes. Should you get white marks on the shirt, they can be easily removed by rubbing a little with a damp towel.


4. My Natural/Shea Deo has become loose in texture?


The deodorants consist largely of coconut oil, which changes in consistency depending on the temperature. If it melts completely, stir the contents and leave to cool for a while and it can be used again.


5. How long does Natural/Shea Deo last?


With daily use, the jar lasts for approx. 3 months. One jar contains 60 ml.


6. Why do I sweat more in the beginning?


If you have been using aluminum-based deodorant for a long time, you may have a total blockage in your sweat glands. Normally, the aluminum leaves the body within three days, but the body's waste products still remain in the lymph nodes. This results in the smell of sweat and other malodorous substances that can be excreted for up to a week, while the body is cleansed of impurities. We are not supposed to clog the pores, they are toxins that come out of the body in the form of sweat and waste products, therefore it is very important that we release them. But after a short time you notice that the Natural/Shea Deo starts to last. Some customers say they were able to switch directly to a Natural/Shea Deo without any problems. It is very individual how the transition goes to a natural deodorant


7. Why do I get spots and blisters in my armpit after starting to use Natural/Shea Deo?

If you simultaneously use our deodorant Natural/Shea Deo, the combination can cause irritation of varying degrees in the armpit, as the bicarbonate reacts with different substances. Wait with our deodorant until the body has cleaned out the waste products and then start carefully with small doses that you gradually increase until you notice that it works.

Does the smell or consistency vary?

Sometimes it happens that the products don't have the same color as before, or that the scent can feel different. We manufacture natural products and in different harvests all raw materials can have their own scent. The cultivation period could have been wet or dry, and this of course affects the final product. We strive to always get the compositions as similar as possible. Also remember that our products are made by hand.

Gift cards

All our gift cards can be used both in store and online. The gift cards are valid 1 year after the date of issue. Should you receive a gift card for one of our treatments, it is of course also possible to purchase products for the amount.

If the gift card's validity period expires, the card is invalid and non-refundable. You cannot count on being able to use the gift card and credit receipt if the store closes, goes bankrupt or changes ownership. Gift cards cannot be returned.

Miscellaneous

We reserve the right to deny an order if we suspect fake orders or other fraudulent attempts. These cases will be reported to the police.
